Becoming a mother is one of the greatest rites of passage we can undergo in our lives as women…

The fact is, when you become a mom - everything will change. From the way you spend your days to your relationship with your purpose. Unfortunately, society does little to nothing to prepare us for this transition. 

This is obvious from the many moms who are struggling to feel like themselves after having a baby, to balance their career with their family, or  to stay connected in their partnership – all while being the mom they want to be. 

The culture we live in has sold us the idea that a great mom is one who is exhausted, overwhelmed, and puts everyone else’s needs before her own. 

No wonder so many women in our generation keep putting off having kids or wonder if they will ever feel fully ready! 

Preparing for Conscious Parenthood is a self-guided course for women who are stepping into motherhood or who know they want to be parents in the near-ish future and want to discover what it takes to feel READY. It is designed to help prepare you, yourself, and your partnership (if you’re parenting as a couple) for parenting by introducing you to some of the basics of conscious parenting, and walking you through self-reflective exercises and partner conversations to see what work is left to do to be ready for a child.

 About Your Guide:

Hi, My Name is Mariah Sage and I’m a relaxed + easeful parenting coach. After years of working with families and seeing the most common things that stress out parents and end up leading to issues in family dynamics, relationships, and behavior with children down the line, I decided to create this course. Preparing for Conscious Parenthood is the exact process I’ve used in my own partnership as we’ve been planning our family to make sure we feel as prepared as possible. When I began my own preconception journey, I noticed that although we are bombarded with parenting resources, there’s almost nothing out there to help us emotionally + practically PREPARE to have a family! Having a child will always come with surprises and challenges, but if our culture did more to help ease this transition for new parents, I truly believe we would have closer families, stronger marriages and relationships, happier kids, and a more peaceful world. Think about the amount of time, energy and money most couples invest in planning their weddings – if we spent just a fraction of that investment on preparing for parenthood, imagine how much pain and struggle we could prevent. Think of this course as something like a blend of pre-family counseling and a guide to not losing yourself in motherhood.

There are six modules, each of which includes a training video, a self-reflective exercise, and a partner conversation*

Module 1: Emotional Preparation

Being ready for a baby involves an emotional process of grieving + releasing your old identify and embracing the way you, your life, and your relationship will change. This is also a chance to visit any hurts + patterns from your life, or any generational pain + trauma you want to work on or release before becoming a mother.

Module 2: Practical Preparation

Preparing for conscious parenthood is a dance of the internal and the external. Finances, living situation, lifestyle, and physical changes all play a role in feeling ready to be the parent you want to be. Taking the time to think these things through consciously in advance can bring so much ease to your journey.

Module 3: Relationship & Self-Care

Whether you’re parenting with a partner, alone, or with other family – systems will make your life easier. Setting up systems around your communication, your self-care, and the ways you’ll need to be supported through having a baby is essential to feeling prepared. Things you fit in naturally now will require more intention.

 

Module 4: Birth & 4th Trimester

There are so many ways to be an amazing parent. And with all of the options for birthing, sleeping, and handling the early months of parenthood, it helps to think things through in advance. Harness the power of your imagination along with some concrete planning to feel ready to navigate these special months.

Module 5: Family Vision & Values

Your Family Vision + Values are the roadmap to raising your family in a way that is aligned for you and ENJOYING the parenting process. Knowing this from the get-go will mean more ease in major parenting decisions and less difficulty navigating the overwhelm of advice and input about you should raise your kids.

Module 6: Conscious Parenting Intro

Being a conscious parent is a lifelong journey. It begins with your conscious development and the way you interact with your child from the day they are born. We will dive into some of the basic concepts of conscious parenting to help you prevent issues before they can build up in your family.


*If you’re planning to parent as a single or with another family member who isn’t your partner, you can complete the partner exercises as a self-reflective process, or go through them with the person of your choosing. You do not need to be in partnership to get value from this program.

  • Six 15-30 minute training videos to guide you through the six core topics from emotional preparation to family vision + values

  • Six self-reflective exercises from journaling, guided meditation, or research topics to help you prepare your inner-world for the rite of passage into motherhood

  • A weekly conversation guide for you and your partner to talk through the various aspects of preparing for parenthood

  • An online member’s portal + lifetime access to the content so you can take the preparation process at your own pace

 
 

The investment for this program is $297 – or two payments of $175
